In Munich, capital of Bavaria, see the impressive group of works by Kandinsky and the Blaue Reiter movement at the Lenbachhaus. At the Staatsgalerie Moderner Kunst, examine important works of both sculpture and painting from the 20th
century.

In Basel, see the city’s Fine Arts Museum, home to a prestigious collection of modern painting and sculpture that includes works of the Cubists and modern artists from Matisse to late modern masters. Also visit the Beyeler Collection, a private foundation that unites some 150 paintings and sculptures — a very personal
collection of Classical Modernism.
