Sports Awards Ceremony

On Tuesday 27th of May, the first official AUP Sports Award Ceremony was organized, ending this semester for the sports program.

After the sports coordinator gave a speech about AUPs accomplishments and improvements, Ward Vercouteren and Stephanie Galy showed an astonishing performance of Salsa dance.

First International Sports Tournament

The AUP Sports teams returned with great spirit from Beirut after participating in the First International Sports Tournament held at the American University of Beirut.

The competetion included teams from the American University of Beirut, the American University of Cairo, the American University of Sharjah, the American College of Greece and the Jordan University of Science and Technology.

The tournament, held at the AUB campus, lasted three days with basketball, tennis, swimming, volleyball and soccer games.

The AUP Sports teams were very honored to be part of this event and to create bonds with sisterly schools internationally.

Sports to compete in:

Basketball (3 on 3)
Volleyball (3 on 3)
Tennis (1 on 1)
Soccer (5 on 5)
Badminton (1 on 1)
Petanque (1 on 1)
Armwrestling (1 on 1)
Relais 400 m (4 on 4)

Flag Football and Squashyball (Baseball with a soft ball and a soft bat) will be played throughout the tournament, for people just to join in.

Poker Tournament

Dear AUP members,

There will be a Poker Tournament held on Saturday, April 17.

The tournament will start at 16.00h (4pm) and will finish at 21.30h (9.30pm).

The signup deadline is Friday, April 16 at 15.00h (3pm) in the Sports Office (G-22).

Buy-in is €10 and there are great prizes to win.
