SGA Social: Assistance Anyone?

As time goes by, we continue to develop. This semester has been an interesting role change for the many in the SGA, including the Social Director. A position normally associated with planning social events, has been rebranded into what I feel is a more culturally-charged responsibility.

Having been directed by Meghan Jennings, current President of the SGA, to make sure this semester was about culture, I set out to help students and faculty make their events at AUP happen - hopefully leading the way for a continuation through the semesters to come.

This mainly took shape in form of the Application for SGA Assistance. This form can be completed by students and faculty alike to request promotion, planning and financial help from the SGA.

Contest of posters & slogans on Academic Integrity!

Dear all,

I hope that you all had sunny relaxing breaks! Can you believe that we have 4 more weeks of classes? There will be 4 full weeks though...Preparing for the last leg of the semester is not always easy, especially when you have tons of papers to write ...but we are almost there! :)

As promised, we get back to you with more information about the contest of posters and slogans. The President’s Task Force on Academic Integrity has been working hard on starting a marketing campaign to promote academic integrity at AUP.

World's Fair is coming up!

One of the best events of the year is just around the corner and we need YOU to represent! For those of you who don't know, Worlds Fair takes place every Spring here at AUP and is basically a coming together of everyone's diverse cultures. Each country is represented by a team of eager AUP students, through a variety of different means - be it native British cuisine (?), indigenous African dance, some good old US of A Hip-Hop music or maybe some Swiss cheese tasting... Whatever your urge - get it out to the student body at World's Fair! It's a lot of fun, you can take my word for it ;)

This year is different: you can represent yourself in any way you like - you don't even need a table; just let us know what you're thinking and we'll work together to make it happen.

Committee on Community Involvement Meeting

The Committee on Community Involvement (Chairperson: Simon Bird) shall assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of all events proposed by the Social Director of the Student Government Association. The committee is responsible for setting and organizing the social calendar of the Student Government. The committee may be expected serve as staff at all events sponsored by the Student Government.

Committee on Judicial Review

Committee on Judicial Review (Chairperson : Brandice Walker) shall be responsible for the review of all judicial matters brought before the SGA either per student or Senate request. The committee is responsible for the confidential investigation, review, and final response for such matters. The committee shall liase with members of the SGA, student body, and Student Affairs.
