Printing in the labs

Laser printers are available in the computer labs, the lounges in Bosquet and Combes, and the Library. Though we do charge for this service, every student receives a free initial printing allocation (which is reset at the beginning of each semester).

Your account balance

When you log on to a lab computer, a small window appears indicating your account balance.

(Note: though this does not appear on Mac workstations, your account is still debited when you print).

You will see an alert when your balance drops below a certain amount.

Manage your account online

Students can manage their printing account using a Web-based tool. It allows you to:

  • View your account balance
  • View your printing history
  • Add credit to your account using a TopUp card.

Add credit to your account

You can add credit to your account by purchasing a "TopUp card." Note that you must purchase this card online using a credit card. You cannot buy TopUp cards using cash or a check.

To add credit with a TopUp card:

  1. Purchase a TopUp card online;
  2. Collect your TopUp card at the HelpDesk (G4 lab, Grenelle building). You must present your AUP ID card.
  3. Connect to your printing account;
  4. Click "Use TopUp Card" and enter the number printed on your TopUp card. This will update your account with the appropriate credit.
