What is an AUP NetID?

Your AUP NetID is:
  • computer network account that gives you access to many University services;
  • a security mechanism used to validate your identity.

What can I use a NetID for?

This will depend on who you are, as not all members of the community have access to the same resources. But here are some of the things an AUP NetID may grant access to:
  • The MyAUP portal
  • University computers in Computer Labs, staff offices, etc.
  • Your personal file storage space
  • Your e-mail account
  • The Blackboard@AUP e-learning environment
  • The campus wireless network
  • Library subscription databases
  • Library online services (your library record, requests, saved searches, etc.)

What does a NetID look like?

Students and Alumni

Your NetID consists of your five-digit student ID number, preceded by the letter "a." For example, if your ID number is 99999, your NetID will be a99999.

Staff and Faculty

Your NetID consists of your first initial and your last name. For example, if your name is Jane Doe, your NetID will be jdoe.
