Applications are now open for ASM leadership positions in Spring 2018. The deadline for all applications is midnight on December 2, 2018.
ASM provides educational and extracurricular resources to AUP students who wish to gain training and experience in magazine journalism, digital news, and video production. Working on three innovative outlets, Peacock Magazine, the Plume and Peacock Play, these workshops offer students an opportunity to get involved in dynamic teams producing multi-platform journalism.
To apply, you must be:
- Enrolled in the contributing undergraduate/graduate-level workshop or course related to the position for which you are applying.
- Have a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
- Available to attend weekly board meetings each Wednesday from 16:55-18:15
- Available to attend an all-Student Media retreat the first or second Saturday after classes start
The workshops and courses are:
- CM 1850 Magazine Journalism Practicum (Peacock Magazine)
- CM 1851 Online News Practicum (The Plume)
- CM 1852 Video Journalism Practicum (Peacock Play)
- CM 3033 Scripts for Travel
- CM 5017/CM 4013 Fashion Journalism (graduate/undergraduate)
