All degree-seeking students (and other types of students who wish to take an English course at AUP) must have English placement information. Students who do not have pre-placement information (either from ACT/SAT scores or transfer credits) must take the English placement exam. This exam is designed to determine where you should begin your college-level writing courses, so the policy applies to all students, including native anglophones.
This form enables new incoming students in Spring 2021 to sign up to take the proctored English Placement Exam during online orientation.
NOTE: The times listed below are the local time in Paris, France (CET). Please cross check the time difference between Paris and your local time to ensure that you arrive to the exam on time. There are free tools on the internet like this one that make this easy.
You will receive information via email on January 4th about how to connect to the exam and what to expect. You do not need to prepare anything in advance.
