AUP Library (Basement, atrium, 1st floor, 2nd floor, 4th floor)

The University Library's mission is to provide AUP students, faculty, and staff with the information resources they require for the pursuit of their educational interests. AUP Library Research Help (1st floor, 2nd floor, 4th floor)

AUP Library Research Help: this guide will show you some basic tips on how to begin doing searching and research. You can also ask a librarian for help in order to find sources for your research or assignments.  

Find Library Material in Learning Commons (Basement, atrium, 1st floor, 2nd floor)

The Library materials are spread out on different floors of the Quai building. This guide will help direct you to the correct area for your books, journals, DVDs. 

Career Center (3rd floor)

Whether you’re just starting to explore your career path, developing your professional network and application materials, or seeking your next opportunity, the Career Center at The American University of Paris provides resources and services to support and guide you. 

Academic Advising Information (undergraduate students) (3rd floor)

What will you be doing in ten years? In five years? What major will you choose? What should you take next semester? The answers to those questions are connected, and they all start with academic advising

Global Professional Skills Certificate Program (GPS) (3rd floor)

The Global Professional Skills (GPS) program is open to all undergraduate degree-seeking students at AUP.  The program provides a structure to record and reflect on your co-curricular activities, which is a great way to prep for your post-graduation plans.  

Academic Resource Center (ARC) & AUP Writing Lab (4th floor)

The ARC is a combined writing, tutoring, and academic technology space located on the fourth floor of the Quai d’Orsay Learning Commons.  ARC manages the Blackboard™ online learning platform, and houses several peer-tutoring programs for students. These include the AUP Writing Lab, the ARC-Link subject tutors, the Math Clinic, and the Tech/Media tutors. We are here to help you succeed in your university studies, and all services are free-of-charge for AUP students. 

ITS Multimedia Office (5th floor)

The ITS Multimedia Office provides equipment, advice, training and technology support for academic and multimedia projects. Multimedia devices can be borrowed by current students, staff and faculty at AUP, as long as they have a valid AUP ID card. 

Civic Media Lab (5th floor)

The Civic Media Lab is an informal hub at AUP where people of diverse backgrounds, ideas and theories collide and crisscross in productive ways; it provides multiple disciplinary and technological pathways for designing solutions to problems; it is a platform for innovative and productive student-faculty collaborations. 

Student Media Lab (5th floor)

AUP Student Media (ASM) is a student-led organization that represents the voices of AUP students via the Peacock Plume and its online, print, and digital platforms. ASM is at the heart of AUP’s multicultural, urban campus, dedicated to producing high-quality, professional content that connects students, faculty, alumni, and the world.

Teaching and Learning Center (6th floor)

In keeping with AUP’s mission to provide a student-centered, career-enabling, and transformative learning experience, the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) creates opportunities for faculty members to reflect on and discuss their teaching philosophies and practices.  

George and Irina Schaeffer Center (7th floor)

The George and Irina Schaeffer Center for the Study of Genocide, Human Rights and Conflict Prevention promotes innovative research, curricula and pedagogies leading to the deeper understanding of the causes and consequences of genocide and mass violence.
