The French Gender Equality Index is a mandatory scoring system that measures gender pay gaps and workplace equality within companies of 50+ employees. It gives a score out of 100 based on several sub-factors.
In 2025, AUP obtained an excellent score of 98/100 on the Gender Equality Index.
The score is based on the following factors :
- Gender pay gap (AUP score 38/40 points) : measures the average pay difference between women and men, adjusted by age group and job category.
- Individual salary increase gap (AUP score 20/20 points) : compares the percentage of women and men who received pay raises during the year.
- Promotion gap (AUP score 15/15 points) : measures differences in promotion rates between women and men.
- Salary increase after maternity leave (AUP score 15/15 points) : verifies whether women returning from maternity leave received the pay increases granted during their absence.
- Gender balance among the 10 highest earners (AUP score 10/10 points) : evaluates the representation of women among the company’s top 10 highest-paid employees.
